Description

NGC 281 (IC 11, Sh2-184) is a bright emission nebula and part of an H II region in the northern constellation of Cassiopeia.  The nebula is located in the Milky Way's Perseus Spiral Arm and is estimated to lie ~9,500 ly from Earth.

Imaging data acquired by @Terry Hancock using System 1, Grand Mesa Observatory, Colorado, USA
